Child Focused Co-Parenting ("we", "us", "our") operates the website childfocusedcoparenting.app. We are the data controller for personal data processed through our Service. Contact: privacy@childfocusedcoparenting.app
2. Data we collect
Account data: name, email address, phone number, address (optional).
Children's data: name, date of birth, height, weight, shoe size, school information, medical information (allergies, conditions, medications), GP details, and favourites — all provided by you.
Usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps.
Communications: messages sent between group members within the Service.
3. Legal basis for processing
We process your data on the following legal bases under UK GDPR:
• Contract: to provide the Service you have signed up for.
• Legitimate interests: to improve the Service, prevent fraud, and ensure security.
• Legal obligation: where required by law.
• Consent: for optional communications such as marketing emails (you may withdraw consent at any time).
4. How we use your data
We use your data to: provide and improve the Service; authenticate your identity; send service-related notifications; respond to your enquiries; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
5. Children's data
We recognise the sensitivity of information relating to children. Children's data is only accessible to members of the relevant co-parenting group. We do not use children's data for any purpose other than providing the Service. Particular care is taken with medical information, which is encrypted at rest.
6. Data sharing
We do not share your personal data with third parties except: hosting providers necessary to run the Service (under data processing agreements); where required by law or court order; or with your explicit consent.
7. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data and your children's data will be permanently deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to: access your personal data; correct inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; restrict processing; data portability; and object to processing. 9. Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. This cookie is strictly necessary for the Service to function and does not require consent under PECR. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or similar tracking services.
10. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords (bcrypt), and JWT authentication. Data is stored on servers located in the United Kingdom/European Economic Area.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you of material changes by email. Continued use of the Service after notification constitutes acceptance.
